Abbye Needham

Denver—January 3, 2018—Catalyst has named Abigayle Needham, a litigation support and e-discovery professional with more than 13 years experience helping corporate legal departments and law firms manage complex litigation, investigations and regulatory compliance projects, to be channel manager. In this role, Needham will lead a team that provides guidance to Catalyst’s channel partners on effective document review workflows, optimizing the use of analytics, including Catalyst’s TAR 2.0 product based on continuous active learning, and other tools.

“Abbye brings expertise in applying technology and best-practices approaches to help clients efficiently and cost-effectively address the most complex, voluminous e-discovery projects,” said Catalyst Vice President of Professional Services Derrell Craig. “Her deep legal knowledge and industry experience is a significant asset to Catalyst and our partners.”

Before joining Catalyst, Needham was senior review manager and team lead at Legility (formerly DSi/Counsel On Call). During her five and a half years with the company, she managed and consulted on large-scale e-discovery projects, developed workflows, and provided guidance and best practices on using TAR, analytics, and other tools. Prior to this role, Needham was Review Manager, where she was responsible for ensuring client requirements were defined and met for all phases of a project. Earlier in her career, Needham was a Project Coordinator for Deloitte, where she oversaw client-discovery workstreams and deliverables, and directed operations teams in the U.S. and India.

From 2007 to 2009, Needham was a staff attorney with Covington & Burling. In this capacity, she supervised more than 100 attorneys on large litigation and second request matters, collaborated with senior attorneys on case management in preparation for trial, arbitration and settlement, reviewed and prepared documents for production for large, complex litigation matters, and was responsible for quality control.

“Over the past five years, I’ve experienced firsthand the power of Catalyst technology in helping clients lower their total cost of discovery and be more efficient in every phase of discovery,” said Needham. “As Catalyst expands its footprint and further establishes itself as the leader in technology-assisted review, it’s an exciting time to be part of the company and work one-on-one with its partners.”

Abbye received a B.A. from Christian Brothers University, a Masters from Duquesne University and a J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law. Abbye is barred in Tennessee, Massachusetts and the District of Columbia.
