Evaluation Based on Catalyst’s Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute

DENVER—June 9, 2011—A new report by the leading IT research and advisory company Gartner Inc. positions Catalyst Repository Systems as a “visionary” among providers of e-discovery software.

In its 2011 Magic Quadrant for E-Discovery Software, Gartner positions Catalyst as a visionary e-discovery company. Catalyst was a pioneer in providing cloud delivery of its e-discovery review and analysis platform and in providing end-to-end automation of data loading, culling and searching.

Gartner cited automation as a key goal e-discovery companies should strive for in their products. Catalyst’s system is automated from processing through production. This makes it easier for clients to meet tight deadlines, with fewer mistakes and at lower overall costs.

Gartner also believes that the future of the e-discovery market is in the cloud, with applications delivered as Software as a Service (SaaS). Catalyst software is delivered as a secure, hosted service. That means our clients can be up and running quickly and get additional capacity whenever they need it, without any appliances to purchase or maintain.

Other ways in which Catalyst software has set the pace among e-discovery companies include:

  • Search technology that is among the fastest and most powerful in the industry.
  • Multi-language capabilities that are unrivaled, including search in more than 70 languages and multi-language processing that handles both Unicode and non-Unicode documents.
  • Our grid-based system is highly scalable, so that even if you have millions of documents to manage, our platform won’t slow you down.

“We consider Gartner’s positioning of Catalyst in the ‘visionaries’ quadrant confirmation of our mission to provide powerful search, a high degree of automation, full user control and broad scalability, delivered via the cloud,” said John Tredennick, Catalyst’s founder and CEO. “We agree with Gartner’s assumption that software as a service will become the predominant form of e-discovery technology and we continue to innovate to provide our clients with more power and greater control.”
