In a recent interview with Christopher DiMarco of Legaltech News, Catalyst founder and CEO John Tredennick responds to this year’s Gartner Magic Quadrant for E-Discovery Software (MQ) report and the increasing volume of data in e-discovery. Catalyst was named a “visionary” in the report and has been anticipating an exponential increase in e-discovery data volume for some time now, notes CEO John Tredennick.

As pointed out by the Gartner report, Catalyst is invested heavily in technology assisted review (TAR), which leverages big data processing and intelligent learning to drastically reduce the number of documents that must be reviewed in e-discovery cases.

“We believe this is critical to why we’ve been deemed visionaries in the report,” Tredennick said. “The lead thing that we’re doing is around TAR—and specifically TAR 2.0—which is the most significant thing going on in e-discovery.”
