In this article for Bloomberg Law’s Digital Discovery and e-Evidence, John Tredennick, Catalyst’s founder and CEO, argues that technology can help protect corporations against Foreign Corrupt Practices Act fines.
To be considered compliant, a company must have an effective program in place that can root out potential violations and enable it to swiftly ascertain and disclose to the DOJ all relevant facts about the individuals involved in the wrongdoing.
“The same technology that corporations and litigators already use to quickly get to the core of e-discovery,” notes Tredennick, “is equally adept at helping in-house counsel and compliance staff get to the nub of an FCPA investigation.”
