There's a lot of hype over so-called technology-assisted review, a way to use human knowledge and technology to review discovery documents to more quickly find what's relevant and what's not. But, judging by remarks by in-house counsel at a recent conference, there's still skittishness toward TAR. That may soon change, however.

Bloomberg's Big Law Business, together with the web-based document repository company Catalyst, hosted an event on July 21 on the subject of discovery. The event, "Taking Control of Corporate Discovery: What It Means for Outside Counsel," focused on how corporate counsel are increasingly involved in e-discovery and what this means for outside counsel.
