John Tredennick

John Tredennick was founder and CEO of Catalyst, one of the leading e-discovery technology companies in the world and now an OpenText company. He recently launched Tredennick.Law to provide strategic consulting and special master services for complex litigation and discovery disputes. Before launching Catalyst, John was a nationally known trial lawyer and longtime litigation partner at Holland & Hart. He has written or edited eight books and countless articles on legal technology topics, including two American Bar Association best sellers on using computers in litigation technology, a book (supplemented annually) on deposition techniques and several other widely read books on legal analytics and technology. He served as Chair of the ABA’s Law Practice Section and edited its flagship magazine for six years. John also wrote Catalyst’s popular reference guides, The Legal Hold Handbook and and IT Handbook: Legal Hold and Collection.

Thomas Gricks
Thomas C. Gricks III, Managing Director, Professional Services, Catalyst + OpenText

A prominent e-discovery lawyer and a leading authority on the use of technology-assisted review, Tom is managing director, professional services, at Catalyst. He advises corporations and law firms on best practices for applying technology to reduce the time and cost of discovery and investigations. Tom has more than 25 years’ experience as a trial lawyer and in-house counsel, most recently with the law firm Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis, where he was a partner and chair of the E-Discovery Practice Group. He was lead e-discovery counsel in Global Aerospace v. Landow Aviation, the first case in the country to authorize the use of TAR over the objection of opposing counsel.

Shaun Sullivan

Shaun Sullivan, Director of Enterprise Sales, Catalyst + OpenText

A seasoned e-discovery professional, Shaun advises corporations and counsel on a diverse range of matters including international litigation, sensitive internal and regulatory investigations, second requests and complex intellectual property (IP) litigation. His work on an IP litigation case was recognized in The New York Times for innovation in data culling and machine learning. In his current role at Catalyst, Shaun helps corporate legal teams leverage technology to reduce costs by 80% or more. He is a board member for the San Francisco chapter of ACEDS. Shaun graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a B.A. in law and society. He also received a Diploma in European Common Law from the University College Cork, Ireland.
